Requests for Permit / Pesticide Use Data
are handled by this office in a number of ways. If you are looking to obtain all the data for a particular year, or the most current year-to-date data, you'll find the data ready for download in a .ZIP file. You can download these files by right-clicking and selecting "Save Target As...", then select a location in your computer to store the file until you're ready for the next step . The next step will be to "unzip" or uncompress the file. In Windows XP can open zip files by right-clicking and selecting "extract all" from the right-click menu. If you have another version of Windows, you can
download the industry standard WinZip shareware program & instructions here. After uncompressing or unzipping, you'll have a .CSV file, which is a text file ready to be imported into a database like Microsoft Access, and you can do it by
following these instructions. Click here for helpful information about the files you will receive.
If you need a custom data set or have a request for additional data, please make an appointment with a biologist by contacting our Santa Barbara office at 805-681-5600 or our Santa Maria office at 805-934-6200. Depending on the complexity and time involved in fulfilling your request, a standard biologist hourly rate and / or materials costs may be charged. You can download a Data Request Form here that you can bring with you or FAX in advanced to: Santa Barbara Office 805-681-5603 - or - Santa Maria Office 805-934-6202.
