Yaneris Muñiz is Policy and Project Development Coordinator and Ethnic Services and Diversity Manager. She has has 14 years of experience in health and human services in Santa Barbara County. For over 10 years she worked at the Devereux Foundation supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders. Her responsibilities included supervision of the Supported Living Services (SLS) program, Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CP/I) training, and client plan and protocol development. Since joining the Department of Behavioral Wellness in 2012, Yaneris has held a variety of positions, including recovery assistant at the Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), policy and project coordinator in the Office of Strategy Management (OSM) and Ethnic Services and Diversity Manager. Yaneris has a bachelor's in psychology from UCSB and is currently pursuing a master's in public administration from Cal State Long Beach.
