San Marcos Foothills Preserve
The San Marcos Foothills Preserve consists of a 200 acre parcel (the Preserve), and 3 parcels totaling 10 acres which are set aside for a future passive park. The Preserve and park parcels are all managed as one at the present time and provide for trail experience of the foothills of Santa Barbara containing grassland, oak canyons and riparian habitats among other natural features and wildlife. Trails are restricted to pedestrian access only, and dogs are allowed and must be on-leash. There is no access for mountain bikes or equestrians on the Preserve.

Location and Directions
From Foothill Rd (Hwy 192), head north on Via Chaparral. Turn right on Salvar Rd and continue on the bridge over Hwy 154.
