How to Get Involved in Planning
You
have a right to participate! From general plan amendments to individual development
projects, there are many opportunities
to get involved in community planning
before issues reach the final decision-making
stage.
Planning & Development
invites you to become involved! The
following are a few ideas on where
to start...
Attend Community Workshops and Public
Meetings
When local plans and
policies are being developed, County planners
hold a series of public
workshops to gather community input. To
find out about these meetings
watch your local newspapers for display
ads announcing community
workshops and public hearings. If you live
within an area affected by a
planning decision, there will be a notice
in your local paper, and/or a
notice mailed directly to you.
Information on community
planning projects and programs, as well
as hearing schedules and
agendas, are available online.
