Juan Miguel Bejar was arrested on Saturday night, December 28, 2013, in the City of Ventura after an approximate two hour standoff with the Ventura Police Department's S.W.A.T team. Ventra Police Officers attempted to contact Bejar in the 100 block of West Simpson Street shortly before midnight.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that on December 30, 2013, Gina Vrastil, age 50, pled to 16 Felony Counts in connection with defrauding two local property management companies.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that as a result of the tragic death of Linda Wall, 68, of Buellton, a Murder charge has been filed against Rebecca Cristal Sandoval, 37, of Lompoc.

'AVOID the 12' conducted a multi-agency DUI and driver's license checkpoint on Saturday December 21st and Sunday December 22nd between 8:00 PM and 3:00 AM in the 400 block of Chapala Street in the City of Santa Barbara.

After 450 hours of training which involved many physical, mental and academic challenges, 14 Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office Custody Deputies graduated today, December 20, from the Custody Deputy Academy. The graduates received their certificates of completion before a packed room of family, friends and members of their new Sheriff's Office family.

At 2:09 pm, Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBC FD) responded to a multiple vehicle accident, located on Highway 246 and Casino Drive in Santa Ynez.
