NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 54703-54719 of the Government Code, a written report containing a description of each parcel of property within the boundaries of the Santa Barbara County Flood Control and Water Conservation District on which a benefit assessment is proposed to be levied, and containing the amount of a proposed benefit assessment for each such parcel has been prepared and filed with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Copies of said report are also on file and available for review by the public at the main office of the Flood Control District in the Naomi Schwartz Building located at 130 East Victoria Street, Suite 200,Santa Barbara, California; at the Office of the Santa Barbara County Clerk of the Board located at 105 East Anapamu Street, 4th Floor, Santa Barbara, California; at the Fifth Supervisorial District located at 511 East Lakeside Parkway, Suite 141, Santa Maria, California; and at the Fourth Supervisorial District office located at 100 East Cypress, Suite 101, Lompoc, California.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room located at the Betteravia Government Administration Building, Board Hearing Room, located at 511 East Lakeside Parkway, Santa Maria, California, the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara County Flood Control & Water Conservation District shall introduce an ordinance (first reading) entitled "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 3150, The Flood Control Benefit Assessment Ordinance, Relating to Benefit Assessments for Flood Control Services"; and on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter, in the County Administration Building, Board Hearing Room, located at 105 East Anapamu Street, 4th Floor, Santa Barbara, California, the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, shall hold a Public Hearing (second reading) upon the report referred to above for the purposes of considering a Benefit Assessment for flood control purposes for Fiscal Year 2018-19, at which time and place said Board will hear and consider all protests to said report, if any, including protests with respect to the amount of the proposed assessments to be levied. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board may adopt, revise, change, reduce or modify any assessment and shall make its determination upon each assessment described in the report, and thereafter by resolution the Board shall confirm the assessments which are finally adopted and levied. The Board will also consider adoption of an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 3150, the Flood Control Benefit Assessment Ordinance, Relating to Benefit Assessments for Flood Control Services".
