It's an exciting time for the behavioral health system of care and recovery in Santa Barbara County. With the support and authorization of the
County's Board of Supervisors and the
County Executive Office, in June 2013 a collaborative ADMHS systems change initiative was launched. ADMHS -- now the Department of Behavioral Wellness -- staff members, clients, families, community providers and other stakeholders are creating a more inclusive, multi-disciplinary system of care. Behavioral Wellness leadership is fully committed to achieving an
organizational transformation that is transparent and participative.
The Steering Committee completed all work objectives and has retired as of September of 2018. Departmental Action Teams continue to be active and can be found in the links below.
