Eat Healthy Be Active Banner

The Eat Healthy, Be Active community workshops were developed based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2010 and the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Each of these six 1-hour workshops includes a lesson plan, learning objectives, talking points, hands-on activities, videos, and handouts. The workshops were designed for community educators, health promoters, dietitians/nutritionists, cooperative extension agents, and others to teach to adults in a wide variety of community settings. NEOP staff provide these workshops for adults in our CX3 Communities, and schools.

MY PLATE
MyPlate is a reminder to find your healthy eating style and build it throughout your lifetime. Everything you eat and drink matters. The right mix can help you be healthier now and in the future. This means:

  • Focus on variety, amount, and nutrition.
  • Choose foods and beverages with less saturated fat, sodium, and added sugars.
  • Start with small changes to build healthier eating styles.
  • Support healthy eating for everyone.

COORDINATED APPROACH TO CHILD HEALTH (CATCH)
CATCH Kids Club (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) is an evidenced-based after-school, summer, and community recreation program designed to promote healthy physical activity and eating behaviors in elementary school-age children.

SPARK PE
SPARK is dedicated to creating, implementing, and evaluating research-based programs that promote lifelong wellness. SPARK strives to improve the health of children, adolescents, and adults by disseminating evidence-based Physical Education, After School, Early Childhood, and Coordinated School Health programs to teachers and recreation leaders serving Pre-K through 12th grade students. Each SPARK program fosters environmental and behavioral change by providing a coordinated package of highly active curriculum, on-site teacher training, extensive follow-up support, and content-matched equipment.
